What FixThatFile is
A collection of small, free tools that fix and convert files. Washed-out HDR photos, HEICs nothing can open, PDFs that need to become images, WAVs that should be MP3s. You drop a file, it gets fixed, it saves back to your device. That's the whole product.
The one rule: nothing uploads
Every tool here runs inside your browser. Your file opens in your browser's memory, gets converted right there on your device, and never touches a server. We couldn't look at your files if we wanted to.
You don't have to take that on faith. Open your browser's Network tab while you convert something and watch: zero upload requests. Or turn on airplane mode. The tools keep working. There's a whole page on how to verify it yourself.
Why it's free with no limits
Because it costs almost nothing to run. There are no conversion servers, no storage holding your files, no bandwidth bill for uploads. Your device does the work; this site just hands it the tools. File caps and paywalls exist to cover server costs that we simply don't have.
Who makes it
One person who got tired of watching a three-second job get treated like a subscription service. If a tool saved your afternoon, or mangled it, or you need a tool that doesn't exist yet, say so. The best tools on this site started as somebody's annoying Tuesday.
