Every photo says
"today." Fix that.

Downloaded your library from iCloud or Drive and now ten years of photos are all "created today"? The truth never left. It's in each photo's EXIF. Drop the zip or folder: we read the real date-taken from every photo and hand back your library with correct file dates. On your device, obviously.

To fix iCloud photo dates free: drop your zip of downloaded photos anywhere on this page, or pick a folder below. Your browser reads the real date taken from each photo's EXIF and rebuilds the library with correct file dates. No upload, no file cap, no signup.

Why downloads reset your dates

File systems store a "created" date that becomes the moment the file arrived on this computer, so every bulk download stamps today. Photo apps that sort by file date then pile your whole life onto one day. But cameras write the real moment into EXIF metadata inside the file, and transfers can't touch that. We surface it back to where sorting tools look.

FAQ

What about HEIC and videos?

Version one reads JPG EXIF (the vast majority of exports). HEIC/video date extraction is on the workbench. Those files pass through unchanged for now.

Google Takeout or Instagram exports?

Those keep dates in separate JSON files. Use the dedicated Takeout fixer or Meta export fixer. This page is for plain photo downloads where the EXIF survived.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Reading EXIF and rebuilding the zip happens in your browser's memory.
